Our Young People’s Advisory Board (YPAB) is a dynamic platform dedicated to fostering leadership, amplifying youth voices, and driving meaningful change. YPAB is composed of passionate and ambitious young individuals committed to addressing systemic challenges and promoting equity for Black communities globally.
The YPAB exists to ensure that young people are not just part of the conversation but are leading it. Our mission is to:
• Advocate for policies that directly impact young Black individuals and communities.
• Collaborate with thought leaders, policymakers, and organisations to amplify youth-driven solutions.
• Empower young leaders to take action and lead with confidence, creativity, and courage.
The Chair’s Message
As we step into the new year, we’re not just embracing a calendar change but an opportunity to reimagine what progress looks like for young Black voices in the UK and beyond. The Young People’s Advisory Board is committed to breaking new ground and amplifying our influence in spaces where we’ve been historically underrepresented.
This year, our vision centres on meaningful action. We aim to empower Black youth to lead not only in policy discussions but in shaping outcomes. From expanding our international outreach to establishing stronger connections with global changemakers, we will focus on creating sustainable pathways for our peers to thrive, advocate, and innovate.
We are also determined to launch a bold agenda that addresses the critical intersection of race, technology, and socio-economic equity. By prioritising dynamic research and solution-driven collaborations, YPAB will help frame policies that ensure a fairer, more inclusive future.
